Editing as a professional service is not something that we provide “off the shelf.” Some editorial houses offer package deals. We prefer to customise our writing and editing services exactly to the customers needs.

From Books to Business Documents

Our customers like to have an outline of the options available, ranging from our manuscript evaluation for books or business documents, through a full book editing service, to the editing specialisations listed below. Online editing options range from project tracking and management to full text editing.

Proof reading means checking the final copy for typographical errors, format deviations and other characteristics as specified.

The Wide World of Copy Editing

Copy editing is a broad label, and comprises making many different kinds of changes to documents at different stages of completion, as described below.

When editing for style we rearrange sentences, but retain the existing paragraph sequences and structure. Paragraph editing may be all that’s needed to improve otherwise well written documents, by the minor structural process of rearranging paragraph sequences.

A conventional rewrite will usually comprise moving material around but retaining the broad logical sequence of material. In a major rewrite, we would retain the original structure, and only move material within sections.

If you have already written some material but only to the stge of a rough draft that needs effective professional editing, we will comprehensively improve it in a total rewrite, by attending to style and moving sections around.

Use our writing services to organize and expand your original notes to full text. We also do original research and writing, on topics assigned by the client.
